Officials say nearly half of Syria's chemical arsenal removes from the country

Teams with the UN and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) announced Wednesday evening that around 45.6% of the chemical weapons they knew about in the arsenal of Syria's Assad regime have been removed from the country. Although the regime is still far behind the schedule agreed to at the start of the process, officials pointed to the report as a hopeful sign in the saga of Syria's otherwise tragic and seemingly endless civil war.
